GSYNC Compatibility

I would love to be able to run GSYNC/VRR, iRacing and Racelabs at the same time. The game is so smooth with VRR that I cannot justify choosing Racelabs over GSYNC. Is it true that iRacing doesn't let you inject into the game due to anti-cheat measures, and this is why I can't get this to work?
